Océ JetStream offers T-Systems
speed and quality matching offset

CRM services supplier counts on full-color digital transaction printing

Venlo, The Netherlands, 18 October 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced that German full-service document management provider T-Systems has installed two Océ JetStream® 1500 printing systems, taking the step into full-color transaction printing.

Five million pages and 1.5 million mailings per day

Utilizing the high-performance printers, T-Systems, a supplier of CRM services, produces several million invoices, insurance documents and standard letters a month, taking full advantage of fast, flexible and cost-effective digital inkjet printing.

The T-Systems subsidiary MDocS (Managed Document Systems) is a leading provider of all-inclusive solutions for document management and a pioneer in color mass transaction printing. At its Weingarten facility, the company operates one of Europe's largest print and archiving centers, with an output of five million pages and 1.5 million mailings per day. CRM and TransPromo are playing an increasingly important role. At the same time around six billion documents are currently archived. Over 100 domestic and international companies already use the 15 years' experience of T-Systems as a full-service provider for total document management – including cost reductions due to its flexible and needs-based resources.

Digital color printing with unseen speed and quality

"The Océ JetStream 1500 offers us the possibility of printing very high volumes of full-color transaction documents in a single end-to-end digital process, with a speed and quality that until now was only seen in the offset area," notes Peter Dehm, Company Officer at T-Systems MDocS in Weingarten and responsible for strategy development. "Moreover, this process is less expensive, because we do not need to produce preprinted offset shells in advance and then add the variable data later by means of digital printing."

The Océ JetStream 1500, with a printing speed of up to 100 meters (or 1,350 DIN A4 pages) per minute, is used to print invoices, insurance documents and account statements. "In future we can migrate our customers from black & white to high-volume color printing and offer the latest business-supporting communication measures such as TransPromo," Mr. Dehm explains. "We offer real added value with continuous feed in full color – including the well-known data security of an Océ AFP/IPDS system."

For premium direct mail and TransPromo

"The Océ JetStream family has been specifically designed for high-speed variable data environments such as premium direct mail and TransPromo printing," comments Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President, Océ Production Printing. "T-Systems will take advantage of the Océ JetStream's performance, opening up new business opportunities for their customers and driving forward both full-color transaction printing and the production of fully variable direct mailshots."

The Océ JetStream 1500 is one of the most flexible full-color continuous feed printing systems for transaction, direct mail and TransPromo applications. The system is designed to handle monthly printing volumes of 10 to 24 million pages, with production peaks of up to 30 million pages.
