Océ launches large format multifunctional system integrated in ergonomical work table

Eliminates the need for furniture next to printer

Venlo, The Netherlands, 7 December 2010 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced the launch of the Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk. It is a professional repro system that includes shelves and an integrated tabletop that enclose the fast and easy to operate Océ CS2436 printer for large format documents. This unique system helps offices organize all of their document-related supplies and media and handle documents at an ergonomic workspot.

The Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk includes the fast Océ CS2436 color printer with an interpolated resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi, the Océ CS4236 high resolution scanner with 1200 x 1200 dpi and Océ Copy Easy for making copies. There is room to place a computer as well.

Practical and ergonomic work area

Handling large plots can be awkward. Office workers have to drape their originals over a chair or bend over a low table to make changes. The Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk concept converts the unusable space above a printer into a practical workspot. People can carry out all repro activities at an ergonomical working height with plenty of room to check, collate, fold and spread out large format documents. All operations, like media loading, scanning, collecting prints, easy job submission, user interface controls and document handling can be easily accessed from the front of the system.

No extra table is needed to organize documents and all supplies are easy to reach. This all saves wear and tear on valuable drawings. Users can simply open the scan area to make a scan or copy. A desktop PC with a big screen can be placed on the system to review documents in full detail.

Works efficiently in technical environments

The Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk provides room to place a computer of choice, which enables users to install useful applications for technical documents, like Adobe® Acrobat® or Autodesk®. The system can also be integrated with the collaboration service of the customer’s choice to give them additional workflow flexibility.

Makes better use of space and reduces costs

Many architectural, engineering and construction offices with limited space have a lot of document-related clutter, which can make a negative impression on their customers. They also have to put in extra furniture next to their plotter to handle large format prints. That is no longer an issue with the Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk. This compact system keeps the work environment neat and tidy. It also helps companies reduce operational costs and gain extra time to meet critical deadlines by letting them carry out expensive printing, copying and scanning tasks in-house.

Professional image

The Océ CS2436MF ReproKiosk is the ideal solution for designers and engineers who appreciate a neat and convenient working area. The workbench comes with shelves for storing staplers, scissors, tape, markers, ink tanks and everything else needed for document tasks. All neatly stacked and organized. There is room to store rolled media to keep it clean and wrinkle free. The cupboard is specially designed to present a sleek and stylish image. No more piles of paper, bulky tables and supplies strewn across the office. Just one professional workspace for all repro tasks.

Powered by Océ CS2436 printer

The heart of this system is the Océ CS2436 printer. This fast, no-fuss A0 plotter is the easiest to operate in the very low volume market segment. Handling both CAD and GIS documents, it gives users the speed, quality, reliability and economy required in a range of wide format printing environments. This 36-inch wide printer produces a full-color A0 image in just 48 seconds in draft mode.

Easy job submission

By offering a number of easy job submission tools, the Océ CS2400 printer series integrates smoothly with different workflows in large format printing environments. This system is ideal for architectural firms, manufacturers, construction companies and local government departments with small and medium-sized workgroups. Users in these environments can send jobs via a Windows-based printer driver.
