pO Toner
The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8000 series utilises pO Toner. This new toner has improved pigments and can reproduce images and text faithfully and precisely, while maintaining consistent image quality and high productivity. pO Toner gives clear illustrations and halftones. The toner particle also contains a new resin formula to enhance fusing performance. Moreover, it achieves high print speed for the production environments and top class energy saving performance.
Image segmentation
To ensure optimal copy quality, the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8000 series provides a combination of image segmentation and 1200 x 1200 dpi black & white halftone screening capabilities. Text, halftones, and photographic images can be clearly and faithfully reproduced even when they are combined on one page. The Image Platform accurately classifies text and image pixels of a scanned image and intelligently processes them separately to ensure optimal output quality for each component of the original image.The system also provides support of the Automatic Gradation Adjustment functionality for all Page Description Languages (PDL's). Automatic Gradation Adjustment assures consistent print quality.
